Overall supervision of Medical Gas Unit, General Maintenance work like Painting, Plumbing, Electrical, A.C. and R.O. water plant, to provide maintenance necessary for the care of Hospital facilities.
Ensures uninterrupted functioning of the Hospital by maintaining all the equipment and machinery in proper condition.
Responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, plant equipment, tools and systems of the hospital.
Day-to-day activities and responsibilities will be conducting periodic maintenance checks, planning equipment upgrades and machinery modifications, identifying faults, investigating equipment breakdowns and monitoring the performance of equipment after repairs have been carried out.
Responsible for the procurement of new components for existing equipment or replacing the entire set of machines after a prescribed period of usage is complete.
Develops maintenance programs such as the Maintenance Management Program, Preventive Maintenance, organization, worker level job structure, manpower utilization and construction equipment requirements and utilization.
Appraises and prepares reports on the effectiveness of such programs.
Ensures fire safety equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.) are operational and that inspections are current, and forwards inspection reports to General Manager.
Work to improve routine, extraordinary, and turnaround maintenance, equipment and piping inspections, spare parts availability, vibration and oil analysis frequency, company maintenance, and similar activities.
Identify and correct problems using root cause failure analysis to find and correct problems with mechanical designs and installations.
Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs as directed in the maintenance manual.
Schedules and ensures proper completion of work that may need to be accomplished by outside vendors.
Implement the Hospital preventive and predictive maintenance programs and maintenance integrity programs and make sure documentation is kept up to date.
Performs preventative maintenance and other tasks as assigned per the maintenance manual.
Assists the organization in the implementation of approved programs by furnishing information, authoritative interpretation, operating pilot runs, conducting training sessions and analyzing accountability and progress reports.
Will be responsible for maintaining the extensive heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems in hospitals.
Routine maintenance is part of the job, such as replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and checking air quality of the ventilation systems.
planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, supervising engineering and technical staff, obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings, managing budgets, maintaining statistical and financial records, creating maintenance procedures and managing stocks of supplies and equipment.
Works evenings, nights, week-ends and holidays according to the schedule compiled by the head of department.
Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
Strictly adheres to organizations regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety are followed in conformity to JCI standards
Supports Continuous Quality Improvement and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service.
Participates and contributes in scheduled in-service training programs like ACLS/ BLS/ CNEs/ CMEs, In house activities, conferences or other programs as requested.
Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates and Management.
Maintains confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.
Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and Demonstrates respect for them.
